Cowra Youth Council VR Fun Day

In April 2021 ExtremeVR was engaged by the Cowra Youth Council to supply virtual reality headsets for their open day being held at the Cowra PCYC centre. Because of their limited budget, we had to come up with a solution that would be suitable for an Open Day styled event where anyone and everyone could attend to try Virtual Reality. Our solution had to give people the opportunity to experience multiple VR games of varying themes, which ranged from battling alien spacecraft, escaping hoards of crazed zombies, go-kart racing, to swimming underwater with Whales, Dolphins and other marine life. 

With this as our backdrop, we choose the Oculus Quest 1 VR headset as the ideal option; it is fully self-contained, has no cables or wires, and when fully charged will run for between 3 - 4 hours with constant use. And best of all it is super easy to use and can be loaded with up to 20 different games and experiences, making it pretty much suitable for everyone.

We shipped the VR headsets using our Australia wide network of couriers ensuring that they arrived at least 2 days before the Open Day giving the Youth Council staff enough time to test out the headsets and become familiar with the headsets controls and installed games. And also enough time to give ExtremeVR a call if they run into any technical issues or need a hand with using the headsets.
